Register of broadcasting stations

Program broadcasting license provides the holder with the right to broadcast a particular radio and/or television program intended for an indefinite number of users, via land broadcasting stations, cable distribution systems, satellite radiocommunications or in other appropriate manner. Program broadcasting license holder shall have the right to install, deploy and maintain fixed and mobile broadcasting devices in accordance with the provisions of the Telecommunications Law, regulations adopted thereupon, RATEL’s general acts and technical requirements and/or standards referred to in these regulations.

Program broadcasting license is issued by the Republic Broadcasting Agency (RRA), once the procedure stipulated under the Broadcasting Law has been completed. Program broadcasting license sets out program and technical standards for radio and television program production and broadcasting.

An integral part of the program broadcasting license is the broadcasting station license (radio station license) issued by RATEL at the request of RRA, pursuant to the Telecommunications Law and based upon the Frequency Allotment Plan adopted by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society.

If the requirements from the relevant law have been met and if the request of RRA is compliant with the Frequency Allotment Plan, RATEL is obliged to issue a radio station license and send it to RRA in order to carry out the program broadcasting license issuance procedure.

Search of the radio and television broadcasters is carried out according to one of the following criteria:

• Name of the broadcasting license holder (select from the list),
• License issuance date (select likely timeframe),
• License expiry date (select likely timeframe),
• Type of radio station (select from the list),
• Call sign (select from the list),
• Frequency (specify likely band).
